Proverbs With Purpose For Young People- Proverb 3: 3,30

Proverb 3:3,30

Do not let mercy and kindness and truth leave you

[instead let these qualities define you];

Bind them [securely] around your neck, Write them on the tablet of your heart.

Do not quarrel with a man without cause, If he has done you no harm.

Imagine you're on a social media platform and see a post about a new movie. You have not seen the movie, but you feel the need to comment with your opinion, even if it's not specifically requested.

If you choose to comment negatively:

You might post comments that criticize the movie or the director.

This would not be obedient to Proverbs 3:3, which encourages us to live with kindness and truth.

It would also be unkind to the creators of the post and to others who might be interested in the movie.

If you choose to comment positively:

You might post comments that express your excitement about the movie or the director.

This would be more in line with Proverbs 3:3, and it would also be more positive and uplifting.

However sometimes, the best option is not to comment at all, rather than engage in negativity.

This is showing a form mercy, by not quarreling or disagreeing on a trivial issue, with someone who has done no harm to you.

Conclusion:

When we live with mercy, kindness, and truth, it not only makes us feel better about ourselves but also inspires others to do the same. It's like binding these qualities securely around our necks and writing them on our hearts.

When we refrain from unnecessary comments on social media, it not only protects our own reputation but also prevents others from being exposed to negativity.
