Psalms With Purpose For Young People- Psalm 23: 1, 4
Here is a practical example to help understand-
Psalm 23:1, 4
The Lord is my Shepherd [to feed, to guide and to shield me],
I shall not want.
Even though I walk through the [sunless] valley of the shadow of death,
I fear no evil, for You are with me;
Your rod [to protect] and Your staff [to guide], they comfort and console me.

Imagine there’s a time when you’re feeling scared or lost in a jungle.
You're surrounded by tall grasses, and it's hard to see where you're going. You're feeling alone, and you don't know how you're going to get out. You don’t know what direction to turn and you’re confused.
That's kind of how people sometimes feel when they go through difficult times. They feel lost, alone, and afraid. This is because they can’t see the future or know how things will turn out. But the Bible tells us that even in those tough moments, God is with us.
In Psalm 23:1-4, it talks about how God is like a shepherd who cares for his sheep. A shepherd's job is to keep his sheep safe and guide them to good places.
The shepherd provides food for his sheep. In tough times, God provides us with strength and comfort.
The shepherd protects his sheep from danger. God is always there to protect us from harm, and He won’t let us remain in a place or situation that is not good for us.
The shepherd guides his sheep to safe pastures. God will help us through difficult situations and lead us to better times.
The shepherd also knows the path ahead. Even though you can't see what's around the next corner, God knows exactly what's in store for you. He will lead you in the right way, even when you can't see.
That's why it's important to trust God, even when things are tough. Even though you may go through some difficult and challenging times, you can trust that God is with you every step of the way. He will provide for you, protect you, and guide you.
He has a plan for you, and it's a good plan.
