"Let it be known, I will protect those who call upon My name”

In recent days I have been praying for our children in this world. There’s been a steady stream of children who have gone missing, or have been abused or senselessly murdered. Sometimes we cross paths with the suffering of others so many times, that we have to take notice and take action. It’s never a coincidence to see this repetition, until we understand this is a message from God and we are meant to take some kind of action at this intersection.

As Christians, we look to the Cross which represents the power and resurrection of the body of Christ, and we now live as His body in this suffering world. So we, at the Cross, have gained the power to affect change where our road intersects with another… or where our paths Cross… I find truth in that symbolism.

This morning the Lord spoke to me saying, “Let it be known, I will protect those who call upon My name”.

I think He expressed this to me at least in part, because some people after witnessing these tragedies have said, “We've had enough of thoughts and prayers”. It’s understandable that these people are outraged and are calling for action, but real change can only come through God and our reliance and trust in Him. Without God, we have no real lasting strength. I have witnessed the power of prayer in my life and the lives of others. We need to pray more, not less. And through that intercession with God, The Holy Spirit will lead us to whatever steps are necessary to overcome the evil that seeks the souls and the lives of our children.

So please, call upon the name of Jesus, pray with me…for wisdom, for direction, for protection, for our children and for those who will become children of God.

Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore will I deliver him; I will set him on high, because he knows and understands My name [has a personal knowledge of My mercy, love, and kindness—trusts and relies on Me, knowing I will never forsake him, no, never].

He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him. Psalm 91:14-15 (AMPC)
