Here’s a practical example to help understand-
Proverbs 4: 23
Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.
Imagine that your heart is like a garden. Just as a gardener needs to take care of their garden by watering it, pulling out weeds, and protecting it from pests, you need to take care of your heart by filling it with good things and keeping out harmful ones. This means choosing friends who build you up instead of putting you down, consuming media that uplifts you rather than bringing you down, and engaging in activities that nourish your mind and body.
When you fill your heart with positive influences, it will be easier for you to make wise decisions and act in loving ways towards others. But if you allow negative influences to take root in your heart, it can lead to hurtful words, unkind actions, and ultimately damage relationships with those around you.
So, just as a gardener would not neglect their garden and let weeds overtake it, it's important to actively protect and cultivate your heart so that everything you do flows from a place of love, wisdom, and kindness.
